It keeps getting better….

So I truly do like Midland. Stephen LOVES it, but I’m not too proud to admit I still miss Austin. Especially after going back there this weekend. We went to Austin for Catherine McIntyres wedding and had a jam-packed weekend! We spent Friday night with David & E-Beth and had fun watching the opening of the Olympic games. Saturday we had a big lunch at our FAVORITE RESTAURANT IN THE WORLD – Matt’s Famous El Rancho. You can see in the picture below our love affair with Bob Armstrong dip. It is by far the best queso in the world (thank you Becca for the cookbook so I can ATTEMPT to make it at home). We had so much fun catching up with our friends and spending a beautiful day on Lake Austin. It was like everything was normal, almost like we still lived there. Life with our friends in Austin had become so effortless, if that makes sense. Don’t get me wrong, life is never easy – but we had a great group of friends there that we hung out with constantly. It was never a question of who was going to come hang out, and we (or at least I) liked that. Anwyway, we had a great time at Catherine’s beautiful wedding catching up with old Baylor friends and spent the night with the Powers! So, after a trip to the lake, eating at two of our favorite tex-mex restaurants, and a Sunday service at LHC we headed back to Midland. I truly thought I was going to be depressed, but I was actually ready to get back. I like Midland and I love having a home and a wonderful husband and puppy (and kitty) to come home to every day. Life in Midland is great in a totally different way. It is such a simple way of life and we are enjoying not having traffic or humidity. We are excited about life here and making really great friends! Which, by the way Midland-ers happen to be some of the friendliest people around. Everyone here has gone out of their way to help us in any way possible, and for that I love this town! The people are what make a town and Midland has a lot of great ones!!

For example: Last night my sweet friend Amanda, with whom I will be teaching pre-k with and helping coach cheerleading with, had a little dinner party at her house with a few Trinity teachers and their husbands. She was so sweet to include us and we had SUCH a great time meeting everyone! I am now more excited than ever about teaching and the fabulous girls I will be working with on a daily basis. So THANK YOU Amanda for being so thoughtful šŸ™‚

That is it for now. We are going to Thirsy Thursday night at the RockHounds game….yeah for baseball!!

Hey, I'm Wynne!

Hi, friend! First, I truly am so giddy that you are here. I want you to know I believe in you and all the ways you are growing towards living a more intentional life.  I genuinely hope you are encouraged from our time together here.

A little about me, Iā€™m a type 7 on the enneagram, a total extrovert + people lover, entrepreneur, connector, storyteller, people gatherer, and passionate wife, mama + friend. I feel most alive when Iā€™m exploring new places and surrounded by people I love. Give me a day in the outdoors disconnected from wifi, and I am a happy girl. I run on oat milk lattes, Jesus, gratitude journaling and kitchen dance parties with my four kids.
Welcome, come on in!

let'e be friends
