inspiration + what’s next.

inspired.
that’s what I’m feeling.
it’s amazing what simple things can really get my brain+heart+soul going on a new path.

traveling, a conversation with a perfect stranger, a good cup of coffee, being outdoors, spending time with family, a good long drive, music and seeing lots of bold color.

Since we’ve been home with camp+asher (8 weeks!) – well and really before too, I started asking God what was next.  for life in general, but really for this little space.  my “identity” so long has been wrapped up in the process, and once they get home…then what?

I remember so well being at ACL Fest with one of my besties, Chloe and us dreaming together.
being inspired by the outdoors, the people and the music – we had some great ideas.
and I remember Chloe telling me after we got the kids home, she couldn’t see my just posting pics of me & my kids at the park.
her way of saying – you have an opportunity here, don’t blow it.

but she was right.

through this 2 year adoption process + half a dozen trips to Africa, we’ve developed not only some strong relationships & networks, but Gods given us a voice.
a voice for orphans.
a voice for communities in need of clean water.
a voice for artisans.
a voice for our beloved spitiual sons + daughters all over africa.
a voice to tell their stories.

our story isn’t over, in fact it’s just beginning.
and I get really excited to think about what God has in store for us next.

before we brought the babies home, I was desperate to move.
like, literally move.
I loved my time in Addis and totally fell in love with “the city”
ready to pack my bags & head for really any domestic or international city
but knowing in my heart midland is home (for now at least)
and now.  now that we are home.  i know it’s where we are supposed to be
and I don’t want to fight god about it
i want to be obedient where i am.  i want to love and serve right where we are.
(plus, i would terribly miss our friends-who-are-like-family a whole bunch anyway)

SO.
he’s given me (through stephen really — don’t you love how that works?) a new vision
for this season
one that combines some of the giftings + passions he’s given me
and will hopefully encourage + challenge you

I wanted to get it all set up & perfect for the start of 2013, but I want to take my time
I want to do it right
so hang in there with me
I can’t wait to show you + tell you about it all.

for now.
i’m staying up way too late & dreaming about color.

love.

ps- on my “brainstorm/vision/dreaming day” in waco this week, I went through Tiny Twigs No Brainer Blog ebook & highly reccomend it.

Hey, I'm Wynne!

Hi, friend! First, I truly am so giddy that you are here. I want you to know I believe in you and all the ways you are growing towards living a more intentional life.  I genuinely hope you are encouraged from our time together here.

A little about me, I’m a type 7 on the enneagram, a total extrovert + people lover, entrepreneur, connector, storyteller, people gatherer, and passionate wife, mama + friend. I feel most alive when I’m exploring new places and surrounded by people I love. Give me a day in the outdoors disconnected from wifi, and I am a happy girl. I run on oat milk lattes, Jesus, gratitude journaling and kitchen dance parties with my four kids.
Welcome, come on in!

let'e be friends

  1. Love this and LOVED reading the entire ebook this morning after your recommendation! 🙂
