church without walls.

I don’t know how I am supposed to focus today, or this week for that matter.  Last week my heart, mind, and soul were changed and challenged.  my spiritual eyes were opened.  We [my husband and I] saw the church in action last week.  and I don’t mean one church, but the collective church.  there is something happening in our city.  that cannot be denied and this past week we saw that truth through many eyes.  we saw “the church” come together to pray for awakening over our city.  Awake 714 was a four day conference that focused on prayer for our city – 2 Chronicles 7:14 says, “if my people who are called by my name humble themselves, and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven an will forgive their sin and heal their land.”  714 – awake, humble yourself, PRAY, seek His face and TURN from our wicked ways.  it was a beautiful picture of what heaven might one day look like – every socioeconomic group, different races & ethnicities, people of all ages worshiping and crying out to god for awakening our city.  It wasn’t about one church, but about THE CHURCH.

We were able to participate, through our church, with 60,000 others around the world through David Platt’s “Secret church” on Good Friday.  The title was, “Heaven, Hell, and the End of the World”.  We sat with about 60 people of our church family Friday night and listened to David Platt preach for about 6 hours on this subject.  We prayed, we worshiped, and we learned more about the persecuted church + unreached people.  We learned more about the Hui people of China and Chinese Muslims.  We cried out to God for their salvation and for the christians who are there trying to reach them.  We watched “the church” come together Friday night.  Believers all over the world coming together.  The picture he painted of the new heaven & new earth has given me enough to dream and cry out for for the rest of my life.  Come Lord Jesus!

and lastly, we watched literally the church have no walls Saturday downtown as we served over 100 hamburgers and hotdogs to Midland’s homeless.  You might remember the Rogers “anybody” story [here].  Well Monday I was taking donations to Brittaney for Church Under the Bridge + a conversation started about doing something different for Easter, something to serve others.  This downtown cookout was born & it truly was amazing to see so many people from so many churches come together to make it happen.  In less than a week!  Over 50 people came out to serve + give of their gifts, talents, time + resources.  They came, to “not to be served, but to serve” like Jesus in Matthew 20:28.  and this day was just a precursor to the May 4th start of Church Under the Bridge.  I love what Evan said about this ministry, “We’re meeting them where they’re at, as opposed to bringing to where we’re comfortable.” That’s right!  May we all be a little less comfortable and our Jesus made known a little more.

Hey, I'm Wynne!

Hi, friend! First, I truly am so giddy that you are here. I want you to know I believe in you and all the ways you are growing towards living a more intentional life.  I genuinely hope you are encouraged from our time together here.

A little about me, I’m a type 7 on the enneagram, a total extrovert + people lover, entrepreneur, connector, storyteller, people gatherer, and passionate wife, mama + friend. I feel most alive when I’m exploring new places and surrounded by people I love. Give me a day in the outdoors disconnected from wifi, and I am a happy girl. I run on oat milk lattes, Jesus, gratitude journaling and kitchen dance parties with my four kids.
Welcome, come on in!
