africa, here we come again!

hey family!

well, we are so excited after all the fundraising, planning, preparing, emails, facebook groups, meetings, google hang outs, and prayers that TODAY is the day we begin our adventure!!  We leave wheels up tomorrow morning for Ethiopia + Uganda, but today we leave home to begin this journey.  I can’t even begin to describe how I’m feeling right now, but my husband wrote a really sweet email to our prayer warriors so I thought I’d just share it with you below.  I also wanted to tell you that

this time, I’m not bringing my good ole’ laptop and all my gear.  I’m bringing Nellie [my DSLR] but you’ll have to wait to see those images when I get back, have processed + can tell amazing stories with them.  As my first time co-leading the trip, my “down time” focus will be a little different this time around.  one phrase: it’s not about me.  so I decided to limit my social media while gone to instagram.  My goal is to post at least 1 photo every day that can share a quick update/story so yall know what we are up to and how you can be praying.  follow along: @wynne4

I can’t even contain my excitement.  can’t wait to be back with all my people 😉

[love finding old trip pics on facebook!  I’m coming home soon friends!]

without further adiue….

Hey Friends and Family,
We are heading out tomorrow for yet another adventure.  God has made the way and we are prepared to serve and love on orphans, widows, lepers, prostitutes, outcasts, unloved, oppressed and people who have been rejected and unloved.  We have 16 people in our group and will be in Uganda for 5 days and Ethiopia for 5 days.  We are super excited and ready to hit the ground running.   We are expecting BIG things to happen while we are on mission in Africa

However we need prayer to fuel our fire and mission.  None of this can happen without prayer to pray us thru all that is in store of us.  Africa is a special place but we will encounter some serious spiritual warfare and  we need you all to advocate for us to the father.

Please pray for boldness for our group.  Wisdom.  His words to flow thru us.  Power to overcome fear and darkness.  We need prayer for focus and clarity.  To have energy to push thru hard days when we are worn down.  Please pray that we would be challenged and broken for all the people we encounter so that we will tell their stories well when we return.  Pray for us to encourage and love with a reckless abandon.  Pray that we would not hold anything back and go all out for the sake of the gospel!!

If you want to all pray for us in real time then stay up all night, just kidding.  But the easiest way to pray for us is to set an alarm at 4 o’clock everyday.  I have been praying for this trip most of the day but at 4 PM an alarm goes off and that is when I pray for the Man UP Trip and for God to move in a mighty way!!!

Also pray that Camp and Asher will feel God’s presence and be at peace while we are gone.   We are going to miss our babies.  My heart is already starting to ache.

As my Grandad always says, “No one said it was going to be easy steve boy”

Attached is the our itinerary for you to check out.  Please pray about when you will go!!!   Everyone needs to experience Africa…it is a special special place.

For the Orphan,

Stephen + Wynne

Hey, I'm Wynne!

Hi, friend! First, I truly am so giddy that you are here. I want you to know I believe in you and all the ways you are growing towards living a more intentional life.  I genuinely hope you are encouraged from our time together here.

A little about me, I’m a type 7 on the enneagram, a total extrovert + people lover, entrepreneur, connector, storyteller, people gatherer, and passionate wife, mama + friend. I feel most alive when I’m exploring new places and surrounded by people I love. Give me a day in the outdoors disconnected from wifi, and I am a happy girl. I run on oat milk lattes, Jesus, gratitude journaling and kitchen dance parties with my four kids.
Welcome, come on in!

let'e be friends
