back from africa.

[traditional picture on the Nile River in Jinja, Uganda]

oh hi!  Oh how I’ve missed you!  did you miss me?  did you think I just ran off to Africa and forgot about you?  well, I’m baccckkkk!

and I really don’t have that much to say just yet.  we had an amazing trip!  it was like going home.  each and every time we go to Africa [especially together] it gets more involved   we get more involved, more invested.  we get to continue relationships we’ve had for the past 2 years and encourage the people who are on the ground doing the Lords work.  The fact that we got to take 14 other people along (especially to Uganda, since no one else had been before!) was a whole new level too.  it’s like taking someone home to meet your parents & see your hometown.  You get so excited for others to catch the vision, fall in love, and have their heart break.  ok so maybe it’s not like visiting your hometown, but you get what I’m getting at 😉  It’s just amazing that a group of 16 people from all over the country (and more than half from the same church in our city-led by my girl Jenna + her hubby Philip!) can come together in Jesus name and love on, cry with, pray with, dance with, facepaint on, sing songs with, and tell bible stories to hundreds of children all over East Africa who simply need to know their heavenly Father loves them.  Our well laid out plans didn’t always come to pass, but our team was flexible and I’m so proud of everyone for jumping in there & doing what needed to be done.  I have SO many images + stories to tell over the next few weeks [let’s be honest, months] and it’s my prayer that God will use something in my words or in the images to spark something inside you that tells YOU to GO!  There is just something about getting out of your comfort zone, leaving your home and your loved ones and putting your FAITH into action.  God meets you there and I guarantee you every single person in this team picture below was changed because of this trip.  They all have stories  to tell [and as I type this, I think “I should get them to share their stories with you too!”]  so, I’ll leave you with that.  I promise I’ll be back to share more stories once I can get my heart around the stories of grace, hope, love, and compassion.  there are some good ones.  until then.

Hey, I'm Wynne!

Hi, friend! First, I truly am so giddy that you are here. I want you to know I believe in you and all the ways you are growing towards living a more intentional life.  I genuinely hope you are encouraged from our time together here.

A little about me, I’m a type 7 on the enneagram, a total extrovert + people lover, entrepreneur, connector, storyteller, people gatherer, and passionate wife, mama + friend. I feel most alive when I’m exploring new places and surrounded by people I love. Give me a day in the outdoors disconnected from wifi, and I am a happy girl. I run on oat milk lattes, Jesus, gratitude journaling and kitchen dance parties with my four kids.
Welcome, come on in!

let'e be friends
