Aren’t things…

I’m flying home from a wedding right now with a full heart. I’ve been reminded this weekend of what’s really important in this life. It’s so easy to get caught up in the things of this world, but I was reminded last night that the best things in life aren’t things. They are “our people”– our family & our friends. Even if you have drama, even if you don’t live in the same town & only get to see each other a few times a year- they are your people. I’ve been so blessed with not only an amazing family, but precious friends. Friends from all seasons, but friends that will last a lifetime. My college girls (we call ourselves the “supper club” – from our once a week meals we had around our tables at Baylor) are no different. We’ve known each other for over 10 years now – we were kids when we met & now we are wives and mothers. We have literally grown up together. Even though we live all over the country & don’t get to sit around the table each week together, our friendship stands true. We always pick up right where we left off! And I’ve learned that is a rare & special gift in this world. We have been through literally everything together & I’m so grateful for a group of friends that knows everything about me & still loves me anyway.

Our sweet Julie got married last night and as she danced with her daddy I looked around our table and there was not a dry eye. It was such a beautiful moment of Gods promise fulfilled in her life. It was also a moment to remember her sweet mom who went to be with Jesus last year. Her memory and presence was strong in that ballroom last night. Our Julie is strong, she’s confident and I don’t know how she did it without her mom and best friend, but she married the love of her life last night. She was radiant and glowing and I know Mary Anne is so proud of the Godly woman + now wife her precious Julie has become.

Throughout the night, I felt like I could have wept at any given moment. Not out of sadness, but joy. Of thankfulness. It’s almost like I was in a dream sequence watching life unfold before my eyes. Life is not at all easy, and we all have junk we are dealing with, but last night life was utterly beautiful. (And not to mention a blast dancing & having fun with the girls!) I’m thanking my Jesus for the gift of my family + my dear dear friends.

Hey, I'm Wynne!

Hi, friend! First, I truly am so giddy that you are here. I want you to know I believe in you and all the ways you are growing towards living a more intentional life.  I genuinely hope you are encouraged from our time together here.

A little about me, I’m a type 7 on the enneagram, a total extrovert + people lover, entrepreneur, connector, storyteller, people gatherer, and passionate wife, mama + friend. I feel most alive when I’m exploring new places and surrounded by people I love. Give me a day in the outdoors disconnected from wifi, and I am a happy girl. I run on oat milk lattes, Jesus, gratitude journaling and kitchen dance parties with my four kids.
Welcome, come on in!

let'e be friends

This picture expresses such fun and friendship of you girls!!! I loved what you shared! I am working on my testimony right now and I love that Julie too is seeing the blessing through some pain! I am thankful everyday for the richness of my life and the glory that only radiates from HIM! Only Christ has gotten me to where I am and I’m excited to share with others who are in the depths of pain, that there is a new dawn coming!!! I am not pain free or have I forgotten, but I have so much wisdom that I gained and so much overflowing love! Take care girl!
