@lilliesofthefield

I am excited to get to finally share with you a little about the instastore I have had since May 😉  Jenna + I started it when we were fundraising for our Man Up mission trip we took to Africa in June.  We had all these fabulous items left over from a “designer sale” we did at my house and I had been seeing some amazing sales (like @denimandstripes) and thought, why not?  I absolutely love starting “new venturers”.  I love the research, the connecting with others who have been there/done that, the branding and design that goes with it, and just the thrill of starting something new!  So what started as a simple fundraiser for our mission trip, has turned into something really exciting and bigger than I ever thought!

Fundraising is the main purpose, and the name, @lilliesofthefield came from the verses in the bible, Matthew 6:28-30, ” And why are you anxious about clothing? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow: they neither toil nor spin, 29 yet I tell you, even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these. But if God so clothes the grass of the field, which today is alive and tomorrow is thrown into the oven, will he not much more clothe you, O you of little faith?”.

We were in the middle of doing our Jen Hatmaker 7 study, and it just fit.  We had all this excess lying around in our houses and closets and it seemed fitting to clear out our closets while we were clearing out our hearts getting ready to lead our mission trip.  I had friends + family members mail me boxes of clothes they no longer wanted stashed in their closets, and we were off!

Since coming home from our trip, I’ve use it a lot to fundraise for our sponsorship of 4 teenage boys in Ethiopia.  We raised enough money to pay their rent for 3 months, furnish their apartment {well some of it}, and pay for food a few months.  The response has been amazing + I am so thankful for everyone who has shopped and donated!

But @lilliesofthefield has grown again, and we’ve been able to do fundraisers for others!  A few adoption fundraisers, mission trip fundraisers, fundraisers for people moving to Africa to serve full time, and even our local Church Under the Bridge.  It’s been so amazing to see peoples support – wanting to shop for a cause!  Which yall know I love.  It’s like re-purposed purchasing with purpose.  did you follow that?

anyway, Jenna and I have had a stack of Sevenly/Ordinary Hero/147 Million Orphans/etc shirts that we’ve been meaning to sell.  and I was just praying for the right person to raise money for.  I was reading blogs one night + came across the Grubbs family on my friend Mandy’s blog {link}  They brought home a little girl from Ethiopia around the same time Camp + Asher came home, and now they are in the process of adopting these two TEENAGE boys!  Yall!  Be still my heart!  You can watch this video here.  They have had an opportunity to get this amazing MATCHING grant through HandinHand, and God just said…yep, this is it! Hey, I'm Wynne!

Hi, friend! First, I truly am so giddy that you are here. I want you to know I believe in you and all the ways you are growing towards living a more intentional life.  I genuinely hope you are encouraged from our time together here.

A little about me, I’m a type 7 on the enneagram, a total extrovert + people lover, entrepreneur, connector, storyteller, people gatherer, and passionate wife, mama + friend. I feel most alive when I’m exploring new places and surrounded by people I love. Give me a day in the outdoors disconnected from wifi, and I am a happy girl. I run on oat milk lattes, Jesus, gratitude journaling and kitchen dance parties with my four kids.
Welcome, come on in!

let'e be friends
