do you work? #SAHWM

I not really ever sure how to respond when people say, “do you work?”  I really don’t know where to start.  Where I am now is usually in saying, “stay at home working mom”.  I don’t know if that even makes sense.  My job as a wife and a mother is my first responsibility, but I have never been able to sit still.  I had my first job [besides working for dad + babysitting] in high school at the car wash.  drying cars.  I loved it.  I didn’t have to work, but I loved it.  I worked pretty consistently in the summers of high school + college and some during the school year in college.  Retail, leasing, hosting, labor, camp jobs, whatever.  I did it all.  I always wanted to be a hostess at a restaurant…never did that 🙁  after college I worked in fundraising/development for a rodeo, I taught 3 year olds + helped coach cheerleading, worked for a christian rock festival, the united way, an amazing ministry and then started my own photog biz.  Not too long after, I stopped working for the ministry and then later started working with Noonday.  Soooo…I’ve probably had more jobs than the average person.

I am an all or nothing person.  It’s just how God made me.  and when I get really excited or interested in something, I research the heck out of it.  then I usually say yes and do it.  then I make fabulous relationships through it.  and I spend a lot of time on it.  whether that be adoption, photography, missions or noonday [and whatever else has yet to be].

Right now my world is consumed with my babies, my man, this crazy holiday season with noonday, lilliesofthefield insta store, writing on this here blog, and planning a blogger trip!  so.  I’m tired.  I get exhausted but I also get rejuvenated with the busy.  it’s a weird mix.

am I alone?  what re energizes you when you are busy?

Hey, I'm Wynne!

Hi, friend! First, I truly am so giddy that you are here. I want you to know I believe in you and all the ways you are growing towards living a more intentional life.  I genuinely hope you are encouraged from our time together here.

A little about me, I’m a type 7 on the enneagram, a total extrovert + people lover, entrepreneur, connector, storyteller, people gatherer, and passionate wife, mama + friend. I feel most alive when I’m exploring new places and surrounded by people I love. Give me a day in the outdoors disconnected from wifi, and I am a happy girl. I run on oat milk lattes, Jesus, gratitude journaling and kitchen dance parties with my four kids.
Welcome, come on in!

let'e be friends

For me, being the introvert that I am. Some solitude and maybe a hot bath or massage always seems to help release any tension that I may have bottled up. Also, taking time away to really read my bible and just write journal prayers are also therapeutic.

  2. I’m with Teri above. Total introvert that LOVES people…but I have to recharge when I start feeling scraped. That usually involves a date with myself (dinner and Target or book store window shopping). One night alone and I am ready to take on the world WITH the world again.
