friendly finds.

2016-02-29_0002

welcome to my first installment of “friendly finds!”  I’ve been dreaming about creating a space on my blog to share with you some of my favorite “finds”.  I have some really talented and creative friends that are using their gifts to impact the world and I want to tell you all about them!  It took me months to come up with a catchy name for this feature on my blog, and I decided on friendly finds because I want you to think of it like a friend sharing with you her new favorite things!  You know how us girls do, we can’t help but share when we find an amazing new product, tv series or piece of jewelry.  Let me be your go-to friend!  I’m sure I’ll do a variety of fair trade, faith, fashion, travel, kids and beauty features.

*I am not getting paid for these features, they are truly items that I love and want to share about!  several, however, are on affiliate programs (mostly Noonday!)

Noonday Collection

First up, for my fair trade fashionista!  Our Spring/Summer line came out late February and it’s safe to say I’m in love.  So many dainty beautiful pieces, as well as some classic bold statement pieces.  I’m loving the beautiful gold bracelets for your “arm party”, this beautiful necklace [right] handmade by a new group we’re working with in Kenya, and this beautiful spring silk scarf from India.  I have so many more images to show you, but hope you’ll go take a look around and add to YOUR wish list!

Writing with Grace with Ann Swindell

I’m excited to share this with you writers!  I met Ann at Hope Spoken a few years ago, and connected so quickly.  I love seeing how she’s using the gifts and passions she has for the good of others!  Check out her new writing class – Writing with Grace.

Writing with Grace is a six-week course that helps writers strengthen and sharpen their writing voice, ability, and craft. It will be taught live and online, April through May of 2016, and classes will be recorded for students to watch on their own schedule. Q&A sessions with editors and writers are included in the course, as well. The course will be taught by Ann Swindell.

paperworks by jones design company

My sweet friend, Emily, sent me her paperworks March bundle this weekend and it couldn’t have come at a better time.  I’ve literally been using the same notepad to scribble everything from my grocery list to my “to do’s” for the week – and it was about time I had a grown up system.  I am all about pretty paper, I’m convinced it makes me more fun!  I taped my month + week at a glance inside my kitchen cabinet, and already loved using my new grocery + meal plan lists today!  Go check it out + request a free monthly set here.

the first five podcast

Stephen + I had so much fun recording this podcast with my old time friend, Jordan Ogden.  Him and his wife have an podcast + blog geared towards married couples in their first five years – called the first five, which I highly recommend.  We talked about a lot of things in 25 minutes, and I’d love for you to check it out – along with the other interviews!

The Carry Camp Fall Retreat

If you’ve been around here for a while, you know I co-founded an online + retreat ministry for women struggling with infertility.  This fall we will gather 30 women for our second annual retreat outside of Nashville, Tennessee.  If you or someone you know shares in this struggle, we’d love to have them in September!

the elaina hope print, bottle of tears

I wish I could effectively tell you how encouraging this print has been to many women this week.  My friend Lindsey, who has Lyme disease, runs a beautiful ministry/shop called bottle of tears (curated gifts of hope, she calls it).  Basically through her own pain + suffering, she prays for and encourages others and sends out vintage bottles with a beautiful reminder that we are not forgotten, and that God captures all of our tears in a bottle.

She also made this print to raise money for their daughter, Elaina’s new school that will help her with her special needs.  Well, I ordered one for me and when it came in the mail there were 2.  Lindsey had felt a tug to include a second, but she had no idea that it was for my neighbor who just lost her husband to leukemia that week.  and what I didn’t know, [before I gave her the print] was the scripture on it was read at both the wedding and funeral for my sweet friends.  I love how God encouraged so many of us though this simple print.  Just reminds me that God sees, God loves us so much and is in every detail!

Hey, I'm Wynne!

Hi, friend! First, I truly am so giddy that you are here. I want you to know I believe in you and all the ways you are growing towards living a more intentional life.  I genuinely hope you are encouraged from our time together here.

A little about me, I’m a type 7 on the enneagram, a total extrovert + people lover, entrepreneur, connector, storyteller, people gatherer, and passionate wife, mama + friend. I feel most alive when I’m exploring new places and surrounded by people I love. Give me a day in the outdoors disconnected from wifi, and I am a happy girl. I run on oat milk lattes, Jesus, gratitude journaling and kitchen dance parties with my four kids.
Welcome, come on in!
