OK so I wrote this last week and never posted it….so this is from TWO weekends ago šŸ™‚
This past weekend Stephen went to College Station for work/game/hang with the guys and since I couldn’t get down there until after school on Friday (and did not want to drive all that way alone) I went to Auburn, Alabama to visit one of my best friends and college roommates – Alice Anne! She was SO sweet to take care of me all weekend and we had the best time catching up. I don’t remember the last time it was just us hanging out and I loved it! We took full advantage!
I flew into Birmingham Friday night (after a plane ride with some loud LSU fans) and AA drove over 2 hours to pick me up! We got back to Auburn around 11pm and headed out to catch up with some of her friends. We had a fun night and ended it with some fabulous hot dogs from a street vendor. However, when we were walking to our car a LSU fan accused AA of having a “fake Tory Burch purse” which was pretty funny. I kept trying to tell him that the Louis Vuitton purse I had was fake but her purse was real – he wans’t having it. Apparently, I was wearing the WRONG color out on Friday night (LSU purple) and got called “retarded” by the guy that called AA’s purse fake. classy.

Saturday we walked around downtown, shopped a little and hung out at the Yarbroughs tailgate. They throw the BEST tailgates complete with homemade potatoe salad, ribs, devilled eggs, caramel cake and more! We did have a celebrity join our tailgate – Auburn swimmer/Olympic silver metalist Matt Targett who brought his silver metal to the tailgate. He showed it off to us and then left it in our care — you know what that meant – PHOTO SHOOT.

The game was SO fun as we had a little bit of drama in our section. We had two guys almost get kicked out for being “too loud”, then an old lady practically cussed them out calling them “drunk, loud, ignorant fools”, and then another old man really get escorted out because he “te-teed” on himself. man, so much drama in the AUB.

Even though we lost the game we still had a great time at the game. I wish 1/3 of those people would come to Baylor games and be 1/2 as loud as the fans on Saturday….you get the point. It gave me chills to be there and I didn’t even go to Auburn. I can’t wait until the day Floyd Casey Stadium is SOLD OUT and every one is screaming like crazy for the bears.

After a long walk home, and a stop for some AMAZING pizza, we called it a night after watching an episode of One Tree Hill. Sunday we got to hang out with AA’s nephew, Mac, and family at her parents house. We also got a great southern meal at the country club for lunch – shrimp and grits, fried chicken, mac and cheese and sweet tea — YUMMY. We had a little photo shoot with Mac….
