texas counrtry

I would like to think if you knew me at all, you would know that I love our Lord with all my heart and I try to love and serve Him each and every day.  That really is the most important thing in the world.

I try to not be obsessed with Hollywood, or the material things of this world, but I am human just like everyone else.  When asked who my favorite star is or whatnot, I have a hard time answering.  I really strive for my passion to be Jesus.
Although I don’t want to live “of this world” – there are things on earth that I am passionate about.  For one, my family and friends.  I love my husband, family and friends more than anything!  I am passionate about youth.  I am passionate about building relationships with people.  I am passionate about knowing God and making Him known.  I am also passionate about college baseball (well, really Baylor!)  and texas country music.  I know, I know – but those two things REALLY make me happy here on earth.  When someone starts talking about either of those things, I could go all night!  I love it when I meet people who share those passions with me.  I had a few really good friends in college who shared that with me, and we had so much fun finding new bands, driving around listening to them and going with friends to concerts all over the state.  Baseball is the same way, I just love the feeling you get when you go to a game on a beautiful Sunday afternoon and sit down with friends and have a coke and a hotdog.  It’s a feeling I can’t quite explain.
Since we moved to Midland I have been a little out of touch with the Baylor Baseball scene, and the Texas country music scene.  Living in Austin had great perks – so much live music!  Stephen and I would go check out new music on a random Monday night or a fun Saturaday night concert with friends.  Although the Ranch does have some great people come play, we don’t make it out too much.  Tonight I was sitting here trying to put my CD’s onto my new computer, and have gotten into the scene.  Maybe it’s because some friends and us are taking a trip to the Hill Country soon, and I’m trying to scope out some good concerts?  Who knows?  All I know is I’ve been sitting here for hours listening to new music, checking out all the texas country websites I used to frequent, trying to figure out the latest hits!  I love the hill country so much, and being in the hill country listening to an outdoor concert with a cold beer and Stephen is the BEST. That’s all, I just had to express this to you – in case you didn’t know this about me.
While I’m here I might as well tell you about my NEW favorite band:
Sean McConnell – I think I talked about him on the post about our anniversary trip to Greune.  We saw him open for Cory Morrow and fell in love!  He has just come out with a new CD – The Walk Around.  check him out on iTunes.  He’s amazing –  a little rock, and a little country.  His lyrics are amazing (he writes all his songs).  He’s 24, married, and a christian!
Maybe I’ll start a little “Texas Country”

Hey, I'm Wynne!

Hi, friend! First, I truly am so giddy that you are here. I want you to know I believe in you and all the ways you are growing towards living a more intentional life.  I genuinely hope you are encouraged from our time together here.

A little about me, I’m a type 7 on the enneagram, a total extrovert + people lover, entrepreneur, connector, storyteller, people gatherer, and passionate wife, mama + friend. I feel most alive when I’m exploring new places and surrounded by people I love. Give me a day in the outdoors disconnected from wifi, and I am a happy girl. I run on oat milk lattes, Jesus, gratitude journaling and kitchen dance parties with my four kids.
Welcome, come on in!

let'e be friends
