Baby Weekend

Our sweet Milly girl in the car on the way to San Angelo in her new bed!

This weekend we headed to San Angelo to celebrate birthdays and to have a baby shower!  My sister in law, Elizabeth, is due in October and her sweet friends, me, and cousins hosted a baby shower for her at the country club in San Angelo on Saturday morning.  We got in Friday night in time for dinner at “The Grill” with Martha, Grandad and Nana, Elizabeth and David, and David’s parents Lynn and Nathan.  The Grill was very great food – I had a steak 🙂  After dinner we headed to the Koshak’s for a little surprise birthday celebration for Genny’s 30th!  Genny is Elizabeths best friend and Karl (Cecile’s hubby) sister.  They are like family to the Elder’s and we were so glad we could be there to help her celebrate.  We had picked her up from the airport in Midland and she had no idea about this party!  All of their high school friends were in town so they all came over for the party.  Party ended early on account of almost all of them being preggo or just having had a baby – but we stayed later with the parents (almost all grandparents!) and Karl and Cecile to chat!  Fun night in Angelo!
Saturady morning was the shwoer – it was beautiful and perfect!  my first baby shower to host – E-Beth was also my first wedding to be a bridesmaid!  The theme was yellow and red and we had pretty gerber daisys, a fun diaper cake and YUMMY cupcakes!  E-Beth got a lot of super cute, super girly clothes and things for baby Rose!  It was a great sucess.
Cousins Lauren and Kristen! The mom to be, Elizabeth!
The hostesses and the mom to be!
After the shower, we headed up to the hospital to see another one of Elizabeth’s friends who just had a baby on Friday!  It was my first time to see a baby in the hospital the day after it’s birth!  I know that seems strange, but it was a first for me! Samuel was so sweet and although I was nervous to hold him, it was fun.  He was sleeping the whole time….
We are excited to see baby Samuel grow up!!
That night we went to dinner with the family to celebrate all the August birthdays!  Here are the oldest and youngest members of the family enjoying dinner!
Elizabeth turned 30, Stephen turned 27, Kristen turned 31, and Owen turned 3!  Will figured it out that all their ages added up equaled to Grandad’s age – well his birthday is in two weeks! We had cake, ice cream, and openeded gifts at Mary Ellen’s after dinner!  Yummy, yummy. Fun times with the family 🙂

Hey, I'm Wynne!

Hi, friend! First, I truly am so giddy that you are here. I want you to know I believe in you and all the ways you are growing towards living a more intentional life.  I genuinely hope you are encouraged from our time together here.

A little about me, I’m a type 7 on the enneagram, a total extrovert + people lover, entrepreneur, connector, storyteller, people gatherer, and passionate wife, mama + friend. I feel most alive when I’m exploring new places and surrounded by people I love. Give me a day in the outdoors disconnected from wifi, and I am a happy girl. I run on oat milk lattes, Jesus, gratitude journaling and kitchen dance parties with my four kids.
Welcome, come on in!
