to a new african adventure
writing a new story
being wrecked & ruined all over again
my friend Lauren said it well here, when she said….
To be right smack dab in the middle of God’s will is the best place to be. To trust him for everything is the wisest and safest place to be. It’s also the scariest place. It’s that place where we surrender all control and say yes to literally anything God wants to do in our lives. It means that what we thought our lives would look like and the plans we made for ourselves will be replaced by wild adventure. It means that things could get messy and crazy and hard all to glorify the name of Jesus.
So we’ll surrender our plans… we’ll give up our tame little life for the most marvelous adventure of all… a life that is used for His glory.
I hear ya sister.
my life over the past year looks totally different than it used to.
or at least I hope it does.
I’ve been changed, and I’m being transformed.
and it’s scarry & messy & hard. (it sometimes makes me cry, right Jenna!)
today was no different.
a really hard day of travel.
the enemy is trying to stop us.
but God has gone before us….
he is with us & by the power of the holy spirit we will do what he has created us to do.
we have victory! we are free!
I didn’t know what was coming last time.
this time I do….
praying & claiming his Word & His promises tonight!
to the battlefield…..
I’ll try to blog as often as possible….but if you want to be added to the email updates:
email my husband, Stephen
Grace & Peace!
so Stephen & I didn’t do gifts this year, but today in my seat in the car on the way to the airport, was this!
notes of encouragement from sister friends & family 🙂
words of affirmation is my love language.
my hunny knows me well.
I’ve been working on the same thing for my sister & little did i know my hubby was working behind my back on one for me!
I’ve read through them all & know I’ll pour over them again & again over the next 10 days.
thank you times a MILLION for the words, prayers, scriptures, and encouragement.
it’s gotten me excited about the story, the battle & the butternugs.
