A clean slate, a new + fresh start.I loved having a coffee date with my husband this week as we talked about our goals for our family this year, which include: getting away just the two of us this spring, properly documenting our children’s growth through pictures, praying as a family for the missionaries + children we sponsor all over the world in a creative way, and finding a way to thank the hundreds of people who helped us get our babes home.I personally would like to read more/watch less tv, cook more, start running again…all the things that will last about 8 days then I’ll forget….
So instead of focusing on all the things I want to do, I wanted to spend some time praying and having a word for 2013. I loved what Casey wrote about her word + what Beth wrote about her year theme.
after asking God what He wants me to focus on this year, the word that came up again and again was GIVE. for a few reasons. I feel like I’ve been GIVEN much this past year, and I love the scripture that says, “to whom much is given, much is required” (Luke 12:48) I’ve been given way more than I ever deserve and I want to give back.
