No. 41 giveaway

41bag

No.41 literally means FOR ONE (41). We started with girls from a local orphanage in March 2012, as well as a few others from our local village in Gisenyi, Rwanda- teaching them the culturally relevant trade of sewing. Each bag our girls sew not only provides a sustainable wage to them, but also funds a feeding program for secondary school children down the road from us.

Our purpose behind No.41 is to remind the girls that they were created by a great God, for an even greater purpose.

We all have been given gifts and talents and once realized we should spend those helping others and that’s where the feeding program comes in.
As of February 2013, we have funded our first school! We are pretty proud to say our girls provide a hot, healthy lunch for 870 students a day. (!!!) Lives are changing not only through the feed program, but our girls are now providing better for their families, attending university, building self confidence and changing the world one bag at a time:) – Tara + Alison

meet Angel.

We promise, Angel is as beautiful on the inside as she is on the outside. And sister has the fashion sense to back it up.

After losing both of her parents to unknown illnesses, she moved in with her aunt and worked her way through secondary school. Angel hopes to one day continue her studies at a university in America. But for now, she is so thankful for her job at No. 41 and the chance to go to university in Rwanda. Angel is currently in her second year of university studying Travel and Tourism Management, and we are incredibly proud of her dedication to working and making University a priority.  She is also saving her money to buy a home for her aunt.
