allllllll my fave paper +podcasts

it’s almost the new year!

and if you are anything like me, you loooooove this time to sit cozy by the tree / fire, stay in your “comfies” all day and in between breaking up kid fights and changing the laundry, DREAM.

I love to dream.  I think it’s an art that so many of us have lost.  I’ve made it a personal mission to help other mamas dream FOR THEM. because under all the spit up, and to do lists, and teacher conferences – we are our own person.  we have dreams, aspirations, and giftings that only WE can fulfill.  we must dream!

so before I start actually WRITING out my goals, I have to have time to process.  So I thought I would share some simple tips and resources that I’ve found super helpful this go round.  hope you like them!

+take some time to go back through 2017 and reflect.  no matter if you are goal setting for your family or your business, this is so important.  what were some wins? what didn’t go so well?  to do this: look through your planner, or your google cal, your photos, or your journal, or your instagram – wherever you keep your life in order, look through that!

+I’ve actually started trying to “bullet journal” – something I’m learning from Edie Wadsworth.  I’ve started “brain dump” lists for #allthethings in my big May Designs journal and it’s nice to be able to start a list on a big open page and come back to it and keep on adding.  so i’m brainstorming for 2018 and how I want to grow professionally and personally.  we should never stop creating! that could be thinking up recipies, outfits, home decor- whatever your thing is, always keep creating and dreaming about it.

+LETS TALK PLANNERS — speaking of May Designs, my hubby got me a pretty “folio” for Christmas and I’ve decided to try out this route this year for planner/journal/calendar.  the folio fits 4 mini may designs notebooks so I got : the agenda months + dots, 2 just plain line journals (for bullet journaling), and a gratitude first.  sooooo excited.  in the past I’ve used and loved: day designer, simplified planner, plum paper, powersheets and erin condren planners – but I think between google cal (that I share with my husband), my abudance planner (for my young living biz!), and my may designs folios – I’m golden!  also a good ole composition notebook that you decopage (like you used to do back in the day!) works just great!

few other fun resources (pictured below) to get you organized if you are oily:

oil + glass / abundance planner / there’s an oil for that / target paper calendar

lastly, I wanted to share a few books/ podcasts/ videos I’ve been looooooooving this break!  then I want to hear what YOU have been loving!

+Edie Wadsworth, Life in Grace, instastories + facebook lives all about goal setting!  been watching while I clean, do laundry, unpack…she’s so inspiring and knowledgeable.  been soaking in her mentorship!

+all things Rachel Hollis.  literally – even though I totally met her IRL at Noonday conference a few years ago, I am just now really falling in deep.  love her DAIS podcast / binged a few including: steps to actually achieve a goal &  her convo with Jen Hatmaker   on youtube / how to sell your product / motivational rant to end 2017

+speaking of my friend Jen, she recommend a book called Essentialism that is blowing my mind.  I recognize that I try to do it all, be it all, be everywhere, get it all done – but “not everything is essential” – so I’m binging this book and hoping it can really help me set some better boundaries and give me clarity on how I spend my time in 2018!

+also, loved Jen interviewing Emily Ley on her podcast about “for the love of simplicity”  / so many great practical tips on simplifying the things that surround us.

ok, friends! that’s it! whew! TONIGHT is new years eve!!!! whether you are staying in soaking in your bathtub, or putting on your favorite lipgloss and hitting the town – I hope you fully enjoy yourself!!!  celebrate 2017!  happy new year!!

Hey, I'm Wynne!

Hi, friend! First, I truly am so giddy that you are here. I want you to know I believe in you and all the ways you are growing towards living a more intentional life.  I genuinely hope you are encouraged from our time together here.

A little about me, I’m a type 7 on the enneagram, a total extrovert + people lover, entrepreneur, connector, storyteller, people gatherer, and passionate wife, mama + friend. I feel most alive when I’m exploring new places and surrounded by people I love. Give me a day in the outdoors disconnected from wifi, and I am a happy girl. I run on oat milk lattes, Jesus, gratitude journaling and kitchen dance parties with my four kids.
Welcome, come on in!

let'e be friends

Ah, I love these. It’s amazing how much of what you listed are things I’ve also been loving! Edie’s videos + Emily Ley on Jen Hatmaker’s podcast + also been on a Rachel Hollis binge. I’ve been really into exploring creativity lately — reading Madeline L’Engle’s “Walking on Water” about Christianity + art, making a physical vision board for 2018 instead of a Pinterest board, and learning to watercolor!

Kind of unrelated to this post, but related to 2018 in general…I was watching your 12 Days of Diamonds video today and loved it so much. I’m an Exec, so when you said at the end that if you’re an Exec right now, you’ll be Diamond in 2018, the tears came! I love your story so much!!

    Happy New Year, Wynne!
