I just felt like I had to share this little tid-bit with yall. Something HUGE God is teaching me this year, is IT’S NOT ABOUT ME! It really it is all about Him. Everything is FOR God and about God – so how do I so easily make it all about me?
I have seen it through Teen CBS, when I get up to do my “talks” for the kids every few weeks I am always worrying about how I’m going to sound or how I am going to come across – even when I diligently pray and ask God to speak through me {and that is what I want!} I still end up making it all about me. ahh! It is a great learning experience & I am glad God is sharpening me.
I have also seen it through friends having babies! Our pastor talked a few weeks ago about how God basically “borrows” our womb and the role of parents is not just to have this sweet little baby {even though that is so fun!} but to grow that child up to be a worshiper of the Lord. a worshiper! Then, last night at my photography class we talked about worship! and it’s role in photography – and at the end Benjamin said something that just struck me. He said “remember it’s ALL about god”. WOW, everything is about god and photography was another way I try to make it all about me. I heard a few stories from some photographers last night that they have had a chance to pray with people at shoots & start to build that relationship with their clients and hopefully they will see their love for the Lord through that relationship . That just blew me away – that just made my love for taking pictures of people grow even more! I am just praying that God would give me those opportunities one day! how amazing!
Anyway, I just had to put it in writing. I say it out loud & in prayer so many times a day it seems, “God it really is ALL about you!” and not about me. My prayer is that I can be His hands & feet on this earth. Thank you Lord for sweet reminders!
{I mean serioulsy – who else could have made that gorgeous sunset!!}
Hey, I'm Wynne!
Hi, friend! First, I truly am so giddy that you are here. I want you to know I believe in you and all the ways you are growing towards living a more intentional life. I genuinely hope you are encouraged from our time together here.
A little about me, I’m a type 7 on the enneagram, a total extrovert + people lover, entrepreneur, connector, storyteller, people gatherer, and passionate wife, mama + friend. I feel most alive when I’m exploring new places and surrounded by people I love. Give me a day in the outdoors disconnected from wifi, and I am a happy girl. I run on oat milk lattes, Jesus, gratitude journaling and kitchen dance parties with my four kids.
Welcome, come on in!
Hey,
Thanks for the reminder of how God calls us to “use”. It remindes me of on of my favorite songs by a group called SHADED RED, entitled “Use Me.” Check it out sometime. Great pictures, too. Tell Stephen “hey” from me.

aw what a sweet post, so true!!!!
What a great post! That is so true and something that I think we all need to remember daily. As we raise Carter I try to thank God for blessing us with the opportunity to be his earthly parents, but I make a concious decision to know and remember that he is really God’s child!!! I want to guide Carter to love the Lord and do what I can as an earthly parent, but ultimately God is in control of his life. Hope you’re having fun in LBK.
