Welcome to Waco!

Sorry I’ve been so MIA, but since I’ve been sick there has not been too much to blog about. After spending the past two weekends sick in bed I FINALLY got to do what we planned to do šŸ™‚ WHEW!! Our weekend started Thrusday night with our Valentines Couples Bunko! We had such much fun catching up with friends and it was pretty funny watching the guys – Stephen actually won $20 bucks!!

This is my BEFRI, Allison!

The Zachrys!!

On Friday after work, we left to go to Waco for SING and to see the family…yipee!! As always, our weeknds revolve around eating at our favorite places so the weekend started at George’s Friday night. We had dinner with my sisters – yummy fried pickles, big “O”, baylor beggars and then I got my meal and was too full to eat….ha. Saturday started off with kolaches from Shipleys, lunch at Rudy’s, shopping with mom at Spice, and Baylor Baseball game with Dad! HOW FUN! I was so thrilled to go to a baseball game. If you know me well, you konw I’m OBSESSED with Baylor Baseball. See picture below of my engagement šŸ™‚

Sisters at Georges

Fun surprise was one of my best friends (since we were born, we are 8 days apart!) Laura was randomly in town as well and we convinced her to go to SING with us! Her first time to sing! If you know me at all you know that I’m OBSESSED with Sing also. I did sing/pigskin every semester I could in college – FIVE!! I loved it and it brought back so many fun memories. I really wished I could jump on stage and dance. Although overall I was dissapointed in the acts this year, I LOVED pi phi’s!!! Obviously I’m a little biased, so I have to admit I really liked Tri-Delts, ATO, Kappa Sig and KOT. But, PI PHI was clearly the best. It was a fun “monster mash” theme – haunted mansion! I wish I had pictures…..

For some reason this is the only picture I could find…..I”ll have to round up some more šŸ™‚

For those of you who don’t know what SING is, get on youtube and type in Baylor Sing. I still can’t figure out how to put a youtube on here…
The weekend was a overall sucess – we had dinner after SING at Papa Rollos, and went to our favorite Sunday lunch spot – Lolitas with the fam. Our trip to Waco woudn’t be complete without a stop at Common Grounds on the way out of town. It was so so good to see my family and to get to be at “home home” for the weekend. The feeling I have when I’m in Waco is unexplainable – when you have lived in one place for 22 years and all of a sudden are 5 hours away – it’s a big change. Midland is now “home” but Waco is “home home”. ha. I LOVE MY FAMILY!!!

Another HUGE reason we went to Waco was to meet my parents new puppy PJ! He’s so precious – he’s a PVGV. Long name…but they call them the happy dog! He was so much fun and him and Milly had so much fun playing. My mom got a little nervous with my 60 pound golden trampling over her sweet little puppy – but they had fun. My mom treats him like a child….it’s pretty funny. Enjoy the pics!!

Hey, I'm Wynne!

Hi, friend! First, I truly am so giddy that you are here. I want you to know I believe in you and all the ways you are growing towards living a more intentional life.  I genuinely hope you are encouraged from our time together here.

A little about me, Iā€™m a type 7 on the enneagram, a total extrovert + people lover, entrepreneur, connector, storyteller, people gatherer, and passionate wife, mama + friend. I feel most alive when Iā€™m exploring new places and surrounded by people I love. Give me a day in the outdoors disconnected from wifi, and I am a happy girl. I run on oat milk lattes, Jesus, gratitude journaling and kitchen dance parties with my four kids.
Welcome, come on in!

let'e be friends

So glad you are feeling better! What a fun weekend. I am going to youtube Baylor SING. I had friends at UT that would go watch their Baylor friends, but I never really knew what it was. I figured it was somewhat like RUSH skits, but much more detailed/elaborate. I miss those days… cheerleading, Mystic dancing, RUSH skits etc… Next time y’all go to Waco let me know. You have sold it well, and it makes me want to try out some of these places. It’s not to far from us now. Take care. Do you know if Stephen’s mom ever got my e-mail? It was inresponse to the Valentine’s day card she sent us, but I also told her the wonderful compliments that Eliz Ellis shared with me about you and Stephen!
