Behind….busy week!!

I am so behind on my blogging, but the week of my hubby’s birthday (first week in August) had been the BUSIEST week of my summer!  So, here’s what we’ve been up to….

I don’t have a picture, but Monday was my last week with my girlfriends doing the Esther study.  I love Beth Moore, and this was the first study I went through with friends actually watching the video’s and going through the book study.  It was a fabulous study and a great time had studying the word with some of my favorite friends all summer.  Monday night was always something I looked forward to, and I’m really sad it’s over.  I think the study spoke to us all in different ways, and met us all exactly where we were.  I loved it!  I miss my Esther girls!!!
Tuesday night was my first official Teen CBS function – we did a thing called “Keep in touch” where we got together with some of the girls to catch up from being off for the summer!  Although there were only a few of us there, it was a great success!  I made some new friends – we met at a park, had lots of yummy summer desserts (Popsicles, ice cream, push ups, etc) and played catch phrase, threw the football/Frisbee/played volleyball and just had fun hanging out!  I am so super excited for the year to start – check out our website at http://midlandteencbs.org/ for more info!

Thursday started the craziness with Rock the Desert! RTD is the christian music festival I have been working for all summer – this was our 10th year anniversary and we had an awesome lineup!  After the meeting on Thursday, I headed to meet some friends from COM group at the Rock Hounds game!  (This week was truly one of doing things we’ve been meaning to do all summer:shack in the back & rock hounds!) Some friends won a picnic and invited the com group to come with them for food, fun, friends and baseball!  I got there just in time to get a HOT DOG and watch the game.  So much fun catching up with some of my favorite gals!
