That’s right, I’m just now talking about February 14th. The days before Valentines day were actually really tough days for us & our family. We lost a very very important person in our lives, our cousin (Stephen’s cousin) and pastor who married us/counseled us – John Petty. We were in Kerrville for a few days with the family but snuck to the lake to spend the night. We woke up on Valentines day to a lovely pancake breakfast we made together & then we went over our adoption paperwork for the last time and headed into Marble Falls to make copies & fed ex it all off!
our pancake breakfast on V-Day 2011
We decided to document the day – so you can watch this short little video that we made š Totally RAW people. Please disregard the teenage acne that has appeared on my skin the past few years. yep, it was a no-makeup kind of day. Semi regretting that now, but hey – it’s real life! We prayed over our paperwork in the car & sent it all off. It felt really good to send off a huge stack of paper I have been working on for quite some time now. yeah God!
What I meant to post but didn’t ever….one night we went over to our friends, the Zachrys, and I worked on my scrapbook photo pages while Alli worked on Grayson’s first birthday party stuff. Such a fun time of just doing life together & getting to work at it all together!
Also…
When Stephen was out of town one week he sent me these with a simple note that basically said thanks & that he appreciated all the work I’ve been doing on the adoption paperwork š Isn’t he the sweetest?
Stephen & I are really passionate about being an OPEN BOOK during this whole adoption process. We want to truly document what it’s like for us and we would love to ever talk to couples who are considering it or are open to it. So – I made a Vimeo page, and this is my first go at it! But just know that you will be seeing some of these funny videos in the future š
Enjoy….

And they are OFF!!!!
Hi, friend! First, I truly am so giddy that you are here. I want you to know I believe in you and all the ways you are growing towards living a more intentional life. I genuinely hope you are encouraged from our time together here.
A little about me, Iām a type 7 on the enneagram, a total extrovert + people lover, entrepreneur, connector, storyteller, people gatherer, and passionate wife, mama + friend. I feel most alive when Iām exploring new places and surrounded by people I love. Give me a day in the outdoors disconnected from wifi, and I am a happy girl. I run on oat milk lattes, Jesus, gratitude journaling and kitchen dance parties with my four kids.
Welcome, come on in!
HA!!! I love this!!!!!!! And I am falling in love with Camp!!!! Can’t wait to meet you sweet boy!!!
I just love your blog. š Praying for good paperwork feedback.
Hi! We are facebook friends and have many mutual friends. I saw your post today and had to click on over and watch your new video.
This is adorable. Totally adorable. And what acne? I didn’t see a thing. Keep this up!! Camp will love having this and “roasting” you good someday!
Wynne. I am so excited for you and Stephen. Thank you for sharing your story with us… Wow! And, you guys crack me up in that video. Will definitely be praying for you!
Ok, I LOVE this. . . Sweet Camp will look back on this one day and be SOOOO happy he has this amazing video! š
Your mom is not the only one who reads both blogs!:) I’m sure I am just overly emotional right now, but I cried during parts of your video! I love y’all as parents and I LOVE sweet little Camp where ever he is right now! Ahhh… I’m just thrilled for y’all and am excited to watch it all unfold.
Although I’m sure you and I both are giving it our all, Carter and Camp may be buddies at A&M if their dad’s have anything to do with it! (Stephen’s thumbs up at FedEx might tell you he’s die hard!)
