My mentor from Perspectives, Dee, asked me after class Tuesday
“how did you start”
She meant how did I get involved in missions.
I can’t lie, I teared up a little bit.
Just thinking about how faithful God is.
How it started with my friend Katie simply asking me to pray about adoption.
and simply saying “yes” to God.
going to together for adoption last year.
stephen jumping on board.
starting to get to know people and ministries in the adoption world.
and now we are here. more than 1 year later.
our lives “gloriously ruined” by the gospel
I just had coffee with a friend I met at last years conference (who lives in Midland)
1 year ago we didn’t know each other and now I count her as one of my closest friends
someone who I can share all my “junk” with. someone who will pray for me & someone who will hold me accountable. If you don’t already, you should check out her blog here. Love you Jenna!
I can’t believe what the Lord has done in 1 year.
I can’t wait to see what else He does.
I’m excited to help out at the Noonday table & tell some of the stories of the artisans I got to spend the week with in Uganda & tell the story of how Jack became a Honegger 🙂
If you are going to be at t4a – come find me at the Noonday booth!
Hey, I'm Wynne!
Hi, friend! First, I truly am so giddy that you are here. I want you to know I believe in you and all the ways you are growing towards living a more intentional life. I genuinely hope you are encouraged from our time together here.
A little about me, I’m a type 7 on the enneagram, a total extrovert + people lover, entrepreneur, connector, storyteller, people gatherer, and passionate wife, mama + friend. I feel most alive when I’m exploring new places and surrounded by people I love. Give me a day in the outdoors disconnected from wifi, and I am a happy girl. I run on oat milk lattes, Jesus, gratitude journaling and kitchen dance parties with my four kids.
Welcome, come on in!
Oh wynne, I about started crying right here in a coffee shop when I read those words… “gloriously ruined” by the gospel. Yes!! You are beautiful. What an amazing, wonderful testimony of the gospel.
Hi Wynne,
I think I read that you live near the Dallas area?! Where do you hear about the trips you go on? My husband and I live in Ft Worth, and are planning to adopt in the next few years. We really have been looking for some trips overseas to get involved with! Love reading your blog, and love your heart for adoption + missions.
