fresh air.

we used to live in the beautiful capital city of austin, texas.
we loved our season of living in austin & were surprised when god called us to midland.
i went kicking & screaming, but ultimately we know  midland is exactly where we are supposed to be.
we love it, but I would be lying if I told you I didn’t miss Austin sometimes.
our visits have been too short & infrequent to really miss “living” here, but halfway through my 10 day stint in austin (with quick trip to waco for baylor baseball!) I can say I am LOVING IT!

topo chico every day at lunch, hills, water, hiking, swimming in the creek, fair trade festivals, sitting outside on the patio for dinner, margaritas, my goddaughter, tex mex, anthropologie, amazing friends, noonday parties, austin stone, adoption community, etc….all reasons I LOVE the ATX.

it’s been a breath of fresh air.
I know it’s not where I “live” but austin has a part of my heart.

in austin, my tattoo-adoption-hippie self isn’t unusual.  haha.  part of me loves that when I am in west texas, I don’t always fit in, but part of me loves to be surrounded by people who are so similar to me!

I just love austin.
and being here has given me the ammunition I needed.
god has us in midland for a reason and for the foreseeable future, we will be there.
we have amazing friends and church community & are so very thankful for that.
but it’s nice to take a break, get away, experience a different place and be immersed in new culture.

this weekend is the last big cousin wedding in austin.
but next week I’ll be back & will be back to blogging, email, etc.
but for now…

I’m just having fun!

happy early weekend everyone 🙂

Hey, I'm Wynne!

Hi, friend! First, I truly am so giddy that you are here. I want you to know I believe in you and all the ways you are growing towards living a more intentional life.  I genuinely hope you are encouraged from our time together here.

A little about me, I’m a type 7 on the enneagram, a total extrovert + people lover, entrepreneur, connector, storyteller, people gatherer, and passionate wife, mama + friend. I feel most alive when I’m exploring new places and surrounded by people I love. Give me a day in the outdoors disconnected from wifi, and I am a happy girl. I run on oat milk lattes, Jesus, gratitude journaling and kitchen dance parties with my four kids.
Welcome, come on in!

let'e be friends

  1. I’ve really been noticing over the last few months that Austin seems to be the hub of the adoption community. I bet that is amazing! I’ve been thinking a lot about Texas lately -now if I could just figure out a way to move there! 🙂
