passing court + whats next.

(I wrote this july 2nd)

Today we officially became Camp Kedir & Asher Asanti’s parents!  What a feeling it was to sit in the court room & hear the judge say, “from now on it will be like these babies came from you – they are all yours”.  The angels were rejoicing in heaven along with so many of you who have been such a huge part of this story!  I can’t even comprehend the FULL greatness of our God yet but we have been blown away by his grace and love that He lavishes on us!  Our children are the most beautiful and perfect gift that we have ever received.  Sitting in the guest house on a cold rainy Ethiopian night makes it all so sweet too — thinking about this beautiful day, July 2nd, that will forever remain in our families history as the day we got our babies!!!!
(writing this a few days later on the 7th) Now we will wait patiently for our paperwork to be submitted to embassy & then all the final investigations to be complete.  They are estimating 4-8 weeks — so I’ll be here & Stephen is already back home.  He left Wednesday night & got back to Midland Friday morning.  Unfortunately, I got sick right after he left & have been feeling under the weather.  I have never had a stomach bug in my life, so it was not fun to have one in the middle of the night all alone in Ethiopia – ha, but the Yates, Denae & my boys in Korah have been taking care of me.  THank you for all of your prayers.  It’s difficult being away from Stephen but I’m thankful for the times we get to talk – I’m hoping to get an Ethiopian phone today & find a driver and get to go see the babies.  I didn’t want to go see them sick but I think I’m feeling up to it today!  I miss them oh so much!
Please pray that everything on the US Embassy & Ethiopian government (passport, etc) side goes quickly & we can be home with our babies soon!  I am dreaming about the day we get to take them home.  I woke up this Saturday morning dreaming of Saturday mornings during football season, at home with the babies, hanging out as a family.  I’m so excited I can’t stand it.  But trying to be present where I am.  God has me here in Addis for a season & a reason – and although I’m not 100% sure what that is yet – I am so thankful to be here.  A dream I’ve had for a long time.  Pray with me that God can use me.  That I’ll let Him speak and then I’ll act boldly!
love you all!

Hey, I'm Wynne!

Hi, friend! First, I truly am so giddy that you are here. I want you to know I believe in you and all the ways you are growing towards living a more intentional life.  I genuinely hope you are encouraged from our time together here.

A little about me, I’m a type 7 on the enneagram, a total extrovert + people lover, entrepreneur, connector, storyteller, people gatherer, and passionate wife, mama + friend. I feel most alive when I’m exploring new places and surrounded by people I love. Give me a day in the outdoors disconnected from wifi, and I am a happy girl. I run on oat milk lattes, Jesus, gratitude journaling and kitchen dance parties with my four kids.
Welcome, come on in!

let'e be friends
