what our april looked like

so back in the day [aka, last year] a few gals and I did a “what our month looked like” post each month and although we did not successfully make it through the entire year, it’s so fun to look back and sorta piece the “everyday things” together via pictures and little snippets of our month.  so I’m bringing it back, even for just this month, so I can remember all the fun we’ve had traveling around our great state hanging out with some of our favorite people!

our “tour of texas” started the day Hope Spoken ended in Dallas, where we got to have lunch and go to Jump Street with our aunties!

then we got ready for a fun week at Bunni + GP’s house in Waco.  stocked up on groceries.  fun times at the Mayborn Museum, playing outside, going for walks around the neighborhood, eating yummy places down at Baylor.

Stephen was driving his sister + our BIL jeep up the Lake City, Colorado the next week so we picked it up on the way back and took the “long road” home.  backroads through the beautiful texas hill country.  admiring all the bluebonnets as the wind blew our hair.  this is why I love my husband.  never a dull moment!  soaking up every good moment in life.

while daddy was driving up to Colorado we were in Austin spending the week with great friends + family! Austin, Texas in the springtime is pretty much a dream senario for me – and we had a blast hanging with friends, walking town lake, eating all my favorite local places, playing outside and just enjoying each other!  everytime we would pull up to a new friends house, Camp would say “we’re home!”  so sweet _(67-of-86)_(70-of-86)

fun lunch picnic at the park with Krista + her gang

_(48-of-86)our time with the Powers is always a favorite.  pancake breakfast with large coffee mugs filled to the brim with snickernut coffee, and willie serenading the kids followed by a walk on town lake, visit to the nautre center, lunch at P Terrys and ice cream!  seriously, such a blessing to be with this family in their home and in their city!

back to Waco for a super fun weekend with my high school besties Sophie + Cara to celebrate our other bestie Jana’s wedding!  such fun staying up late eating la fiesta chips + queso and telling stories, having a donut/Frozen party Saturday morning with the kids, and then the mamas getting all gussied up for the wedding.  we might have “cruised the valley” on the way home…for old times sake, ya know?

the next weekend in Waco was our family reunion!  we got to town before everyone else, so we made it a friday family fun day at the zoo!  I love watching the kids explore, name the animals and just have such an excitement for life outdoors!

every 4 years our entire family on my dad’s side gets together in Waco over Easter weekend for a little reunion.  There were over 30 of us, including kids, and it’s so fun to gather as everyone literally lives all over the country.  My dad is the youngest of 4, and so we are the babies of the family.  As I’ve gotten older it’s fun to connect more with my cousins, and now that C+A are around, they love playing with all their little cousin friends!  Friday night started at our family’s ranch outside of Waco for a BBQ dinner, pony rides [we were too late for 🙁 ] a jumper, and just fun hanging out!

asher was getting ready for her first hunt.  sweet thing, she got her foot stuck in another boys basket and was bawling crying and missed most of the “hunt”.  that sweet boy introduced himself to her and proceeded to give her 5 of his eggs.. sweet!

_(8-of-19)we FINALLY made it home on Easter sunday evening, which happened to be my 30th birthday!  Stephen had [with some help!] decorated the house with his traditional happy birthday sign, flowers, a card, happy birthday banner, streamers and lots of fun bright colored balloons everywhere!  such a happy welcome home!

Hey, I'm Wynne!

Hi, friend! First, I truly am so giddy that you are here. I want you to know I believe in you and all the ways you are growing towards living a more intentional life.  I genuinely hope you are encouraged from our time together here.

A little about me, I’m a type 7 on the enneagram, a total extrovert + people lover, entrepreneur, connector, storyteller, people gatherer, and passionate wife, mama + friend. I feel most alive when I’m exploring new places and surrounded by people I love. Give me a day in the outdoors disconnected from wifi, and I am a happy girl. I run on oat milk lattes, Jesus, gratitude journaling and kitchen dance parties with my four kids.
Welcome, come on in!
