A simple mattress spray to refresh your rest

Mom cleaning hack coming at ya! Here’s something I do every time I wash and change my sheets! It’s a simple but effective way to refresh your mattress in between sheet changes. OR if a certain child in your home happens to have any sort of accident in the bed.

I’m not much for DIYs unless they are really, really simple. Here’s a mattress spray recipe for you.

The oils included in this recipe are known for their antiseptic, antifungal, antibacterial, and disinfecting properties. I’ll take it.

Ingredients:

4 oz water

5 drops Lavender essential oil

5 drops Tea Tree essential oil

15 drops Purification essential oil

2 oz Thieves Household Cleaner

6 oz spray bottle (a few linked on amazon)

Directions:

Combine above ingredients into 6 oz spray bottle, shake, spray mattress and allow to air dry. *you can also use a 2 oz or 4 oz bottle and adjust the recpie as needed.

Spray liberally on mattress and pillows between sheet changes!

Another thing I love about this simple non-toxic mattress spray is that it can be used on just about anything porous. Spritz your linen closet and keep spare towels and sheet sets smelling fresh. Take it into the living room and spray rugs and armchairs or couches to give your upholstered furniture new life. You can even give those curtains a few sprays to keep your home smelling fresh and clean.

This spray is so easy to make and so easy to use I can’t wait for you to try it!
